Here's a couple more cards I created using items from the Create Kindness Kit.  I cut the pre-designed card bases in half and used them on standard size cards.  I added some scraps of Adventure Fundamentals papers and cardstock, along with Adventure Ribbons and White Twine.  I also used the Thin Cuts-Hearts, NEW Chevron Embossing Folder, Gold Glitter Paper and the Shin Han Markers to color in the sentiments.  The Gold Glitter Stars are from the Whimsy Fundamental Complements.   Love the bright and cheery colors!

Here's a close up of the stamp sets included in the kit.  They are so cute and can easily be colored in with markers, watercolor pencils or watercolor paints.

 

 

 

 

I had fun creating with this kit.  I started by creating a set of the 3x3 cards included in the kit and added some cardstock from the Adventure color pallette.  These cards can be used for a variety of occasions and are great for attaching to a gift, leaving on a note on a desk or in a lunchbox, or to spread kindness & make someone's day!

I then wanted to use the pre-printed card bases on a standard size (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) card.  By simply cutting the pre-printed bases in half, you can create twice as many standard size cards.  For these 2 cards I added some papers from the Adventure Fundamentals pack (Z3253), Adventure Ribbons (Z3286) and Silver Sequins (Z2013).  I used the NEW Happy Thoughts Embossing Folder (Z3249) for the card on the right and the NEW Thin Cuts-Hearts (Z3260) on the left.

But then I took it one step further and created a one-page layout using one of stamp sets along with the Adventure Fundamentals papers (Z3253), Good Life Complements (Z3264), NEW Thin Cuts-Stars (Z3261) and Celebrate (Z3256), Grey Enamel Gems (Z3089) and Picture My Life Journaling Cards (Z3278).  So you see, the Create Kindness Card Kit isn't just for cardmaking.  It can be used for scrapbooking too!

Fall Weekend Retreat

I’m so excited to announce that registration is NOW OPEN for the next Scrappy Weekend Retreat! 

Would you be interested in a FUN weekend away, with lots of time to work on your own scrapbooking or cardmaking projects?  How about the opportunity to take a few classes and learn a new technique or two?  Does having all your meals prepared for you interest you?

I’ve teamed up with friend & fellow consultant Mary and we will be hosting a Fall Weekend Retreat October 20-23, 2016.  This is an all-inclusive event at a quaint lakeside setting in Hamilton, NY.    

Everyone receives 4ft. of crafting space, meals and lodging in a cozy cabin by the lake.  Cabins contain 2 double beds, and can accommodate up to 3 people with a roll away bed if needed.  Each cabin has its own bathroom. 

 

The event is being held at the White Eagle Conference Center in Hamilton, NY.  The weekend will include creative workshops, spa services, an art gallery, and plenty of time for crafting and making new friends.  I personally have attended several scrapbooking events at the White Eagle and I absolutely love it!  I’m sure you will too!
