Hello Pumpkin

Right about now I am loving everything Fall-the cooler temperatures, the decorations, the leaves changing colors and these cute little pumpkins from the Hello Pumpkin collection from Close To My Heart.  They're from the Hello Pumpkin Cardmaking Stamp & Thin Cut Set (Item#Z4239).  The Thin Cuts make it so quick & easy to cut the perfect pumpkin shape for stamping on.

Even though my kids are older & don't really dress up for Halloween anymore, I had fun creating cards and layouts using the Hello Pumpkin Workshop Kit (Item#G1160) and coordinating products. While these layouts are clearly for Halloween, only 2 of the 6 papers in this kit are for Halloween.  The other 4 papers in this kit are brightly colored stripes, plaid & gingham that can be used for many  occasions, other than Halloween.

October Workshops

This month I'll be hosting 2 new workshops to kick off the Fall Season!

1.  Jeepers Creepers Scrapbook Workshop
This workshop will be held on October 26, 2016 at 6:30pm.  You'll create three 2-page layouts using the Jeepers Creepers Workshop You Way Kit (Item#G1110-$26.95).  If you would like to attend, please RSVP to me and place your order by October 12th.  You can place your order RIGHT HERE on my website.   If you can't attend, you may want to order a kit "To Go."  I'll email you my cutting guide so you can create the pages at your convenience.  They are super cute and perfect for all your little monsters!

2.  Rustic Home Fundamental Thank You Cards (designed by Karen Pedersen)

This workshop will be held on October 27, 2016 at 6:30pm.   You will create 8 different cards using the Happy Hearts Stamp Set (Item#A1192), Rustic Home Fundamental Papers along with some Poppy, Peacock and Saffron Cardstock, Thin Cuts-Hearts, and White Embossing Powder to emboss the sentiments.  The cost for this workshop is $20 and includes the stamp set, pre-cut papers & hearts, card bases & envelopes and use of my embossing powders.    You will need to bring your own adhesives, and a fine tip glue pen to adhere the Thin Cut Hearts.  Please RSVP to me by October 12th if you plan to attend or would like a kit "To Go."

Happy Halloween!

Today is the day my kids have been waiting for all month!  The day where they get to dress up as their favorite character and collect a bunch of sugary treats!  I'll admit, I love candy too!  I'm a sucker for Milk Duds!  They're my favorite and I look forward to raiding my kids candy stash each Halloween.

In honor of all the Halloween goodness going on today, I thought I'd share a couple of cards I created for the occasion.  Both of these cards were created using the NEW Cricut Artistry Cartridge and the Nevermore paper pack.  Aren't they just darling?  I love the googly eyes!

Nevermore Halloween Workshop

This month I'll be hosting a Halloween Scrapbook Workshop where you'll create three 2-page layouts using the Close To My Heart Nevermore Collection.  These page designs were created by Karen Pedersen and presented to us at Convention this past July.  I think you're going to fall in love with these little vampires and the Nevermore Collection!

EEK! Annual Inspirations New Product Blog Hop

Fall is one of my favorite seasons.  I especially love Halloween!  This layout came together rather quickly and I love how it turned out.  

I sponged the edges of the papers and cardstock with Black Ink.  The Complements are also sponged with Black Ink, clustered and popped up with 3D Foam Tape to add dimension.

The new border punches are a great way to add interest to your artwork.  I used the Triangle Border Punch on the Pear cardstock strips.

Hooray for Halloween!

In our house, Halloween is a big deal.  My kids get so excited and love to dress up in their costumes and go trick-or-treating.  I am sad to say that they have outgrown the "cute" stage and both wanted to be something scary this year, the scarier the better-as my youngest puts it.
