Valentine Inspiration

Valentine's Day is next weekend, so today I thought I would share a little LOVE to inspire you to create a handmade card or two for your favorite Valentines.

These 3 cards feature the Heartstrings paper pack (X7193B) and Picture My Life cards (Z3046) found in the Seasonal Expression catalog. Using the Picture My Life cards makes it so easy to create beautiful handmade cards in minutes.  Each package contains 56 double-sided cards, making the possibilities endless.  You can even stamp directly on the Picture My Life cards, like I did below. Then add some embellishments and your done!

I am so excited to share the layout I created using the NEW Heartstrings products.  I love the colors in this paper pack!  The traditional reds & pinks are nice for Valentine's Day, but the Lagoon and Crystal Blue really add that extra POP to it!

As soon as I received my shipment of new products, I knew exactly what I wanted to create with them.  I love to cluster my embellishments and this layout design was perfect for that.  I ended up using several different products, but love the end result.

Saddle Up with Clementine or Dakota!

I'm Calling all Cowboys (or girls) to head on over to my ranch in February for a down home scrapbooking workshop!  It's gonna be a Rowdy Time with your choice of Clementine (a feminine country floral) or Dakota (more masculine country flair).

First up at the rodeo is Clementine.  These pages were designed by Lynn Como.  I love the floral patterns, Canvas Complements Shapes and the Brown/Tan Sparkles-which add a little bling.  The Cottage Assortment is my favorite though.  These adhesive backed, layered fabric flowers come with the buttons already attached and really add dimension to your pages. The Canvas Alphabet works well with this kit too, for adding titles-which I still need to do on the first layout.

Now, for all your little Cowboys we have Dakota.  I especially love this kit since I have 2 little cowpokes of my own, and the colors are perfect for many occasions.  The metallic stickease and Round Durables Studs add a special touch, and the wood grain paper reminds me of barn wood.  Have you tried the Houndstooth Alphabet yet?  They come white, but when sponged with ink, the houndstooth pattern appears, so cool!

LOVE is in the air-Valentine's Day Workshop!

February is LOVE month!  And to celebrate all of the LOVES in your life, I'm offering you two different options for my Valentine's Day workshop.  This workshop will be held at my home in Choconut, PA on February 7th from 6-9PM or February 9th from 10AM-1PM.  If you would like to participate I need your order & payment by January 20th.  You can contact me via phone or email.

The first option is the January Stamp of the Month Valentine Cards, using the color combination of Whisper, Slate, White Daisy & Ruby (if you own these inks, bring them along or purchase for $5.25 ea.).  The January Stamp of the Month is very elegant and contains gorgeous roses and beautiful sentiments.  The cost of this workshop is $15 and it makes 6 cards. You will need to bring your own adhesive, glue dots & basic tool kit.  Here's what's included;

It's hard to believe a New Year is upon us and Valentine's Day is right around the corner.  The January Stamp of the Month-Happy Valentine's is perfect for creating a Valentine card for that special someone, but can also be used for an anniversary or sympathy card as well.  The roses are so pretty and elegant. 

 

 

For the card below, I used a color combination of Whisper, Slate, Ruby and White Daisy.  I created my own patterned paper by random stamping the large rose image in Slate ink on Whisper cardstock.  I also inked the edges of all the papers with Slate ink.  The hearts were cut out using the Cricut Artiste Cartridge.  For embellishments I chose Clear Sparkles and the Silver Shimmer Trim to add some sparkle & shine.
