Dotty For You Frame

A couple weeks ago I attended the Close To My Heart Leadershare Event in New Jersey.  It was a wonderful weekend of fun, learning, creating and just hanging with friends, old & new.  Close To My Heart held a live auction to benefit Operation Smile-a charity that helps children with cleft palettes and other facial deformities receive the surgery needed to make their smile more beautiful.  It takes just $240 for one surgery to change a child's life forever.  I am happy to announce that our auction raised $1600-enough for 6 surgeries!  I am proud to work for such a wonderful company that cares so much about others and gives back to help those in need.

For my auction donation, I created this open frame using the Dotty For You Papers, Paradise Flowers & Baker's Twine, Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge Stella Workshop Stamp Set and the Bling Assortment.  Three of the tags have mats for photos, the others are just decorative, but I love how it turned out and plan to make another one to hang in my family room.  Hope you enjoy!

Footloose-May Kit of the Month

With Summer just around the corner, you'll need to get a jumpstart on scrapbooking your favorite beach photos and what better way than to attend my Kit of the Month Workshop!  For the month of May I will be featuring the Footloose Kit.

This past weekend I attended the Close To My Heart Leadershare Event in New Jersey.  At the event, we had the opportunity to work with a very talented friend of mine, who is also my upline, Sr. Director Lynn Como.  She created these fabulous pages using the Footloose Kit and then taught us some of her tips & tricks of the trade.  I love her artwork and I know you will too.  Here's a look at the pages we will be making this month.  The first layout contains photos Lynn captured while on the CTMH cruise to Hawaii this past March.  Love the turtles!

Pages 1 & 2

Pages 3 & 4

Pages 5 & 6

Although this is my May Kit of the Month, the actual workshop will be held Sunday, June 3, 2012 from 6-9pm.  The date/time change is due to Memorial Day Weekend falling at the time we normally meet, and because baseball season has begun. (As a Mom, I don't want to miss seeing my boys in action on the field.)  I hope this schedule change works for everyone.  If you would like to participate in this workshop, I will need to have your order/payment by May 14, 2012.   You can call or email me, or click on the shopping cart on the left to go directly to my website to place your order.

Friendship Bouquet & May Specials

Friendship Bouquet-May Stamp of the Month
April showers bring May flowers and I just love these cute little sunflowers in this set!  Look how beautiful the flowers are....

This set is available only during the month of May.  You can purchase it for $17.95 or get it for only $5 with a $50 purchase from the 2012 Spring/Summer Idea Book.  Here's a couple cards I created using S1205-Friendship Bouquet and the Pemberley Level 2 papers.  On each of these cards I embossed the sunflower with Cocoa Embossing Powder and then colored them in using the Watercolor Pencils and Blendy Pen. I love how they turned out.
