Sparkle & Shine Scrapbooking Workshop

Where I've Been Hiding & A Christmas Card Workshop

I just had to do a double take when I logged into my blog and realized it's been several months since I've posted anything.  I do apologize for my lack of posts, but sometimes things happen and life throws you a curve ball or two and you tend to get off track.  After a cancer diagnosis in July, I underwent surgery in August and took 8 weeks to recover.  I am doing much better now and finally feeling back to normal, for the most part.  I have missed scrapbooking and the papercrafting world and am ready to get back into it and back on track!

With the holidays quickly approaching, I thought I would start with a Christmas Card Workshop.  This workshop will be held at my home in Choconut, PA on Friday, November 22nd at 6:30pm or on Saturday, November 23rd at 10am. If you would like to attend, I need your RSVP and payment by November 8th.

I have 2 options available to you.  The first one is the Sparkle & Shine Cards above.  These 2 cards feature NEW products from the Holidays From The Heart Gift Guide.  I love the NEW Sparkle & Shine Papers and the Red Shimmer Trim really adds a festive touch to the cards. 

You will need to BYO Basic Tools-paper trimmer, adhesives, scissors, glue dots, pop dots, etc.  You will receive a cutting guide & instructions to cut your own paper.  The workshop is designed for you to create 10 cards, 5 ea. of 2 designs.  The cost is just $15 and includes the following products;

• Z1473 White Daisy Die-Cut Cards & Envelopes
• 1 Sheet of White Daisy, Slate and Juniper Cardstock
• 1 Sheet of Sparkle & Shine Paper
• 50" Red Shimmer Trim
• 5 Sparkle Flourishes
• 25 Clear Round Sparkles

The super-cute Santa Claus Stamp Set (C1567) can be added on, making your kit price $30.   Recommended Block sizes are 1x1, 2x2, 2x 3 1/2, and 2x 6 1/2.

The ink colors used are Z2165 Juniper, Z2172 Whisper and Z2170 Ruby.  If you already own these, you may want to bring them along with you to the workshop, or you can add them onto your order for $5.25 ea. 

The second option is the Workshops on the Go Frosted Card Kit found on page 69 of the 2013 Autumn/Winter Idea Book. 

 

This kit is only $24.95 (plus tax and shipping) and includes the following supplies to create 15 beautiful cards, (5ea. of 3 designs);

• Frosted Card Workshop Stamp Set
• 2 Frosted B&T Papers
• 5 Sheets of Cardstock (2 Colonial White, 1 Kraft, 1 Olive & 1 Ruby)
• 15 Colonial White Card Bases & Envelopes
• 10 Yards of Bakers Twine
• Silver Glitter Gems
• Instructional Brochure

The ink colors used with this kit are Z2114 Cocoa, Z2137 Olive, Z2170 Ruby & Z2160 Twilight.  You can add them onto your kit for just $5.25 ea. or bring them along if you already own them.    Recommended block sizes are 1x1, 2x2, 2x3 1/2, 2x6 1/2 and 3x3.

If you're unable to attend the workshop, why not take your kit To Go!  Both kits come with a cutting guide and instructions so you can create the cards at your convenience. If you need more than 10 cards, the Sparkle & Shine Kit can be easily duplicated, just let me know how many kits you need.

Here's a look at another option when using this kit.  I simply used the reverse side of the B&T paper and added a little Buttercup cardstock, Cotton Candy & Buttercup inks to create a softer, more feminine look.

Saddle Up with Clementine or Dakota!

I'm Calling all Cowboys (or girls) to head on over to my ranch in February for a down home scrapbooking workshop!  It's gonna be a Rowdy Time with your choice of Clementine (a feminine country floral) or Dakota (more masculine country flair).

First up at the rodeo is Clementine.  These pages were designed by Lynn Como.  I love the floral patterns, Canvas Complements Shapes and the Brown/Tan Sparkles-which add a little bling.  The Cottage Assortment is my favorite though.  These adhesive backed, layered fabric flowers come with the buttons already attached and really add dimension to your pages. The Canvas Alphabet works well with this kit too, for adding titles-which I still need to do on the first layout.

Now, for all your little Cowboys we have Dakota.  I especially love this kit since I have 2 little cowpokes of my own, and the colors are perfect for many occasions.  The metallic stickease and Round Durables Studs add a special touch, and the wood grain paper reminds me of barn wood.  Have you tried the Houndstooth Alphabet yet?  They come white, but when sponged with ink, the houndstooth pattern appears, so cool!
